The Royal Scots Greys remember their Colonel-in-Chief, Nikolai II.

His Imperial Majesty was Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Scots Greys [now amalgamated into The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys)]. The Regiment remembers him and carries an Ikon of the Tsar-Martyr into battle.

Not only that, but the Tsar awarded the Scots Greys white bearskin shakos, which are still worn today by the kettle drummers. The band plays the Russian imperial anthem in the officer's mess, and the cap badges have been trimmed in black since the assassination.

Yes, I discovered that, too, but didn't take time to include it. LOL
