As a German Kurd, I prefer the Central Powers to the Entente in World War I, but Germany ought to have offered lenient peace terms to Russia before the overthrow of the Russian monarchy. Erich von Falkenhayn, the Chief of the General Staff of the Germany from 1914 to 1916, wanted to offer lenient peace terms to Russia, while Paul von Hindenburg opposed offering lenient peace terms to Russia. If Russia had agreed to a separate peace with Germany before 1917, when USA entered World War I, Germany would likely have defeated France and Britain on the Western Front. I prefer the Second German Reich and Tsarist Russia to French republicanism and British imperialism. The Second German Reich and Tsarist Russia were the good guys of World War I, and France and Britain were the bad guys of World War I.
I prefer the Allies to the Axis Powers in World War II, despite my German citizenship and my German ancestry, because Nazism is an evil ideology. The Allies of World War II were the least bad guys. But I like Imperial Japan. The Japanese monarchy fortunately survived the Japanese defeat in World War II. I prefer Franklin Delano Roosevelt to Churchill, because FDR was opposed to European colonialism. Churchill made Kurdistan part of Iraq and he strongly opposed Indian independence. I support Kurdish independence from Iraq and I admire Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. The world is better off without the British Empire. I despise Soviet Russia, but Hitler's invasion of Russia changed the Soviet regime of Russia for the better. Stalin ended persecution of the Russian Orthodox Church during the Great Patriotic War (World War II).

I prefer the Central and Axis Powers. Why? Because us Finns fought on those sides.
