I liked the pictures too. For such a clever guy Peter seems to appear a little sleepy sometimes, though .

Be sure to remind me when you are in the Netherlands next year Royalcello, I'd like to meet you (if you do as well). Will you be in Amsterdam then?

Yes. Concerts in Eindhoven (March 11) and in Amsterdam (March 12) at the Royal Concertgebouw, the latter possibly attended by HM Queen Beatrix. I will look forward to meeting you!

There was a gentleman there (not one of those in the picture) who seemed to consider it his duty to convince everyone he met of the virtues of constitutional monarchy. Even if they were already quite sufficiently convinced. My comatose appearance was probably due to an immediate post-harangue stupor. That's the story I'm going to stick to, anyway.

An excellent story Peter.
The politician made me sleepy is always believable.

Perchance one of the other Americans there, Peter?

Were you also holding a flag on that second picture Royalcello? As you seem to be stretching out your arm.

Yes.  I did not of course realize that my flag would not show up in the picture.

Thanks for sharing the Jubilee photos. It's nice to have some sort of personal connection to that historic event. It actually did receive a good amount of coverage on mainstream American television.

It was a pleasure to meet you for the third and Andrew for the first time, and I enjoyed our conversation very much, along with the wonderful Evensong we attended together at St Paul's. Andrew was bemoaning the shortening of the Wikipedia article on the line of succession to the British throne, and wondered if the old version was available anywhere. In case he reads this, yes. Very slow loading, but don't give up, it will appear.

I hope photographs were taken at the latest London "meet and greet", and will be posted soon...

Dinner with DutchMonarchist was very nice! We tried first to go to an Indonesian restaurant but it was full so we found a Chinese one instead. I quite enjoyed the chance to talk with a valued member of this forum in person. Picture(s) will be posted here upon my return to Dallas.
