This is Sultan Ghalib (II) of Qu'aiti in Hadhramaut, Yemen being interviewed for BBC's Faces of Islam in 2000. He lost his throne in 1967 aged 19, because the Labour government decided to hand South Arabia over to Communists. And the region today, historically important for its links to South-East Asia and East Africa (following the same school of Islam), is now fertile ground for Al-Qaeda and ISIS. Evidence of a disastrous decision made by Britain, instead of honouring a treaty to grant proper independence in 1968.

And to this...

The Communists who were in power were proponents of open disbelief. They were prepared to kill and abduct people and take their property in order to remain in power.

As someone said, that's pretty much what Communists do, murder people!
