Serbia: calls for immediat anticipated parliamentary elections.

Last Saturday, April 16, 50-70000 demonstrators gathered in Belgrade at the invitation of the Serbian Progress Party (Srpska Napredna Stranka, SNS), a new political party founded in the after the 2008 parliamentary elections and claiming monarchist Chetnik inheritance.

It has been one of the largest public manifestation held in Serbia since the popular mass anti-Milosevic.

This manifestation shows the growing dissatisfaction of the Serbian population regarding governement's policies who seems to be unable to stabilize the country and unify the different fates of countries different communities..

Althought the paradox is that the monarchists are both represented in the "Democratic", opposition , with 2 members of SDPO (Member of the International Monarchist Conference) and the 10 members of New Serbia), as well as the nationalist Chetnik traditionnal opposition within the Serbian Progress Party (78 MPs) as well as even in the ranks of today's so called moderate majority, with four members of the SPO (member of the IMC) and a minister.

International Monarchist Conference supports the initiative of Serbian Progress Party (Srpska Napredna Stranka, SNS) and calls for immediat anticipated parliamentary elections who will strongly emphasize the fact that it now seems decisive for the Serbs and Serbia’s future that the institutional question is clearly posed, for the sake of clarification and national unity.

International Monarchist Conference calls on organizations, parties and movements Serb members such as the Centar za Istrazivanje Pravoslavnoga Monarhizma, Kraljeva Omladine, МОНАРХИЈА Независни магазин, Udruzenje Inicijativa za Kraljevinu Srbiju,
Unija Monarhista Srbije, Udruzenje Monarhista Srba, Sabor Monarhista Srbije and both parties who have elected members of the parliamentary representation Demokratska Pokret OBNOVA Srpski / Serbian Democratic Movement of Renewal (SDPO) and OBNOVA Pokret Srpski / Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) to work in this direction.

Several years after the fall of communism and the end of the civil war, it is now time to crown the civil peace in Serbia by the restoration of sustainable institutions

Secretary General of the IMC

Eternal memory to Draza Mihailovic! Long live King Alexandr!

'Monarchy can easily be ‘debunked;' but watch the faces, mark the accents of the debunkers. These are the men whose tap-root in Eden has been cut: whom no rumour of the polyphony, the dance, can reach - men to whom pebbles laid in a row are more beautiful than an arch. Yet even if they desire equality, they cannot reach it. Where men are forbidden to honour a king they honour millionaires, athletes or film-stars instead: even famous prostitutes or gangsters. For spiritual nature, like bodily nature, will be served; deny it food and it will gobble poison.' C.S. Lewis God save Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom, Canada and Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, etc.! Vive le Très haut, très puissant et très excellent Prince, Louis XX, Par la grâce de Dieu, Roi de France et de Navarre, Roi Très-chrétien!

The Serbian Renewal Movement's coalition has came in 5th place with 20 seats in the election. They are one of the few monarchist parties to my knowledge.
"Throughout my reign I will never rule you as a King. I will protect you as a parent, care for you as a brother and serve you as a son. I shall give you everything and keep nothing; I shall live such a life as a good human being that you may find it worthy to serve as an example for your children; I have no personal goals other than to fulfill your hopes and aspirations. I shall always serve you, day and night, in the spirit of kindness, justice and equality."

- His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck Coronation Address to the Nation, 6 November 2008

I'd say all would be open to restoration as Alexander II champions it, all they need to do is offer him the throne. In fact, many claimants to fallen monarchies may not espouse restoration themselves, not as openly as Alexander does, but will humbly accept if they are offered.
