Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II led Britain to mark Remembrance Day at the Cenotaph yesterday.  The Royal Family were out in force in somber black and military uniforms, along with political leaders to honor the country's war dead.  While the Queen and the senior males of the family stood at the Cenotaph, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Countess of Wessex (who was moved to tears by the ceremonies) presided from the royal balcony above.  I thought Camilla looked absolutely regal.  She will make a wonderful Queen some day.

While I like the Duchess of Cornwall and believe that the Prince of Wales (whose 68th birthday is today) will make a wonderful King some day, I do not want to see the Duchess as Queen. The Prince has publicly pledged his word that she will be Princess Consort rather than Queen, and breaking his word would be a poor way to begin his reign.
