They are one people regardless. Even though one ethnicity does not necessarily make one country (e.g. Serbia and Montenegro, the German states before unification, et al).

Yeah, but in the case of Romanians and Moldovans there never was a difference until communists made them up. It's seems like some of the damage done by communists is being reversed, I think it was last year that Moldova changed its official language back to Romanian.

What is now "Moldova" was once Bessarabia, which in turn was part of Moldavia. As you know, Moldavia and Wallachia were principalities dominated by Boyars and Phanariotes, many of whose families are still around today. It's not certain whether the Cantacuzino family really are descendants of the Byzantine Emperor John VI Kantakouzenos.

I know about the territories and how they changed over time, I'm not as familiar with the ruling parties apart from the most famous ones.

What looks like messages of support from abroad have come in:

From Croatia:

From France:
https://www.facebook.com/anrmro/posts/862713557093063

We need more of it! In our post-1989 world, the bitter disappointment amongst us was that not a single monarchy was restored. However, I do believe the age of social media has made and will make monarchist efforts far easier to organise and produce results.

That princely house just sounds suspicious considering they had to explain their lineage in an article about the Romanian restoration

Should I alert them to that?

Looks like someone else did but I am unsure if they are fake as I am unfamiliar of Croatian nobility maybe someone can clarify.

There does seem to be some proof of the existence of a Novosel house, at least in that I found indexes of the texts claimed as refference on the wikipedia page for the House, even managed to download one of the papers, seemingly in full, the one named "Knjižarski katalozi kao izvori za povijest knjige: primjer kataloga Novoselske knjižare u Zagrebu".

I can't make much of it, despite there being similarities between this and my language. Looking around there seems to be/have been many noble families in Croatia, as it existed as a fully independent Kingdom until 1102 and was then a secondary Kingdom kingdom and divisional unit of the Arpád, Anjou, Jagiellon and Habsburg domains until 1918 so the existence of local nobility is not impossible.

I do have a hunch this person may be posing as the real thing, because they just coppied the wikipedia article.

I've alerted them to it. I suspect that it, like other such posts, can get buried in the midst of time.

I think all the candidates supported a referendum, but I like that constitutional monarchism is listed as part of his political party's ideology.

Here is the PNLs Wikipedia page.
