The difference is that the Guardian is overtly left-wing while the BBC pretends to be "neutral," making the BBC arguably more dangerous.

That's because the BBC is a state media outlet. And as we know right now, the BBC isn't above praising sordid figures.

Ironic, since both the Republic group and some in the Guardian claim the BBC is spouting monarchist propaganda.

We all know that so long as the BBC isn't actively endorsing the overthrow of the monarchy, as far as republicans are concerned it's being controlled by "the Man". Just as anyone who isn't in favour of a republic is either ignorant, stupid or corrupt.

Further irony, BBC give Republic more publicity than they could ever deserve.
