I am currently writing a brief defense of George III and was wondering if anyone had any points which they believe should be raised?

Didn't we have more rights under King George than we do now under President George?

We had more Liberty under the Crown than we have had since Honest Abe, (or if you only count peace time, I'd say since FDR)

Thanks guys.  Wikipedia’s treatment of George III is rather whiggish.  For example it states that:

“Many modern British historians also place primary blame for the loss of the colonies on George, largely because they attribute the Proclamation of Rebellion (which treated the colonies' complaints as acts of rebellion) to him personally.”

Now the war was already under way and uprisings were plentiful, so there was indeed a rebellion under way, and I read the text and I do not see where they get the idea that he (presuming it were he and not Parlament) treated “the colonies' complaints as acts of rebellion” in this document.  It is as if the peaceful expression of grievanes (and here I do not mean the propaganda of Paine) was resulting in men being hung in the street.  See the text here:

One of my more influential history professors in college stated that after the Americans began their slogan “No taxation without representation” the English parliament offered them representation (not that I am arguing representation is necessary for taxation).  Does any one know if this is true and have a source?

True:
Carlisle Commission offered 'Dominion Status' before the term existed (However it was 'too little to late' to appease the Rebels).

At the time of the Revolution there were speakers like this called Tories who were very convincing.......

The problem is Global. The problem is Globalism. Globalism is everywhere.......

The only thing in Heaven and Earth that can tame it is the Return of Arthur.

Indeed Globalism is a threat, and the opposition to Globalism is threatening as well.

Secular Nationalists are as big a threat, so I strongly suggest we not adopt Nationalism in response to Globalism.

There are many things we could do to stop Globalization.  (Fatima!)

Just don't let secularism fight secularism.  There are no winners in that situation.

I wonder if we could set up a "Monarchy to be" ready to be put together at a moment's notice as soon as we see it is possible to maintain somewhere?

Your Welcome, but the debit isn't to me.  I'm just happy to be a conduit.
