October 6 2020: Grand Duke Georgiy, the son of Maria Vladimirovna, a Romanov claimant to the Russian throne, marries Katerina Tikhonova, the daughter of Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia.

November 3 2020: Donald Trump is re-elected as President of USA after defeating Elizabeth Warren, the candidate of the Democratic Party. Trump gains Nevada, but loses Pennsylvania and Michigan. Trump obtains 276 electoral votes, and Warren obtains 262 electoral votes.

The Republicans retain their majority in the Senate. The Republicans gains a seat in Alabama, but loses seats in Colorado and Arizona. The Republicans obtains 52 seats in the Senate, and the Democrats obtain 48 seats in the Senate.
The Democrats retain their majority in the House of Representatives. The Democrats obtain 224 seats in the House of Representatives, and the Republicans obtain 211 seats in the House of Representatives.

November 30 2020: An independence referendum is held in Scotland. 51,2 % of the Scots vote against independence from Great Britain, because they fear cutting Scotland's ties to England after Brexit.

September 19 2021: Just Russia, a social democratic party, which supports Putin, wins a landslide election in the Duma election. Putin appoints Sergey Shoygu, the Minister of Defence of Russia, who is supported by Just Russia, Chairman of Government (prime minister) of Russia after the election. 
The results of the Duma election:
Just Russia: 51,7 % of the votes.
Communist Party of the Russian Federation: 16,3 % of the votes.
United Russia: 10,1 % of the votes.
Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (a far-right party): 9,5 % of the votes.

May 1 2022: Marine Le Pen is elected President of France after defeating Emmanuel Macron, the incumbent President of France in the second round of the election. Marine Le Pen obtain 52,2 % of the votes, and Emmanuel Macron obtains 47,8 % of the votes.

August 7 2022: Katerina Tikhonova gives birth to a son called Vladimir Georgiyevich Romanov. He is named after his grandfather, Vladimir Putin.

October 23 2022: Dilma Rousseff, the former President of Brazil, who is the candidate of the Worker's Party of Brazil, a social democratic party, which is opposed to neoliberalism, is elected President of Brazil after defeating Jair Bolsonaro, the incumbent President of Brazil, in the second round of the election. Dilma Rousseff obtains 56,7 % of the votes, and Jair Bolsonaro obtains 43,3 % of the votes.

November 8 2022: The Democrats win a landslide election in the US midterm elections after campaigning for Medicare for All. The Democrats obtain a majority in the Senate after gaining seats in Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin and North Carolina. The Democrats obtain 54 seats in the Senate, and the Republicans obtain 46 seats in the Senate. The Democrats retain their majority in the House of Representatives. The Democrats obtain 251 seats in the House of Representatives, and the Republicans obtain 184 seats in the House of Representatives.

March 5 2023: The right-wing nationalist parties win the Italian parliamentary election. Lega, the right-wing populist party of Matteo Salvini, obtains 40,8 % of the votes, Brothers of Italy, a neo-Fascist party, obtains 10,1 % of the votes, and Forza Italia, the conservative party of Silvio Berlusconi, obtains 5,5 % of the votes. The Five Star Movement, the left-wing populist party, which leads the incumbent government, obtains 15,9 % of the votes, and the Democratic Party, a social democratic party, obtains 18,1 % of the votes. Matteo Salvini is elected prime minister of Italy and forms a coalition government consisting of Lega, Brothers of Italy and Forza Italia.

July 2 2023: Ekrem Imamoglu, the mayor of Istanbul, is elected President of Turkey after defeating Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the incumbent President of Turkey, in the second round of the election. Ekrem Imamoglu obtains 55,7 % of the votes, and Erdogan obtains 44,3 % of the votes. Ekrem Imamoglu is the candidate of the Republican People's Party, which was founded by Atatürk. Ekrem Imamoglu is quite pro-Kurdish. He expressed support for Kurdish independence from Iraq during his election campaign, while supporting continuing the struggle against PKK. Despite being a secularist, Ekrem Imamoglu supports the right to wear headscarves in public institutions, which was introduced by the Erdogan government.

September 25 2023: The Kurdistan Regional Government declares independence from Iraq and establishes the Republic of Kurdistan. Russia, Turkey and Israel recognizes the independence of the Republic of Kurdistan.

December 3 2023: A constitutional referendum is held in Russia. The proposed new constitution of Russia will restore the monarchy. The Tsar will be a figurehead, and most of the powers of the President of Russia will be transferred to the President of Government of Russia (the new title of the head of government of Russia). The President of Government will be appointed by the Tsar, but the Duma will be able to depose the President of Government with a vote of no confidence. The Tsar must be a Romanov, and the eldest son of the Tsar will inherit the throne. If the Tsar has no son, his eldest daughter will inherit the throne. The Russian Orthodox Church will formally become the established church of Russia. Titles of nobility will remain banned in Russia. Transitional clauses of the proposed new constitution of Russia decides, that Vladimir Putin will remain President of Russia until the end of his term on May 7 2024, and that Putin must propose a Tsar from among the descendants of the Romanov dynasty. The candidate for Tsar, who is proposed by Putin, must be approved by the Duma and the Federation Council in order to assume the throne.
Just Russia, United Russia and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia campaigned in favour of restoring the Russian monarchy, while the Communist Party of the Russian Federation campaigned against restoring the Russian monarchy.
70,1 % of the Russians voted in favour of restoring the monarchy, while 29,9 % of the Russians voted against restoring the monarchy.

March 17 2024: Just Russia wins the Duma election, and Sergey Shoygu is re-elected as President of Government of Russia.
The results of the Duma election:
Just Russia: 50,7 % of the votes.
Communist Party of the Russian Federation: 20,8 % of the votes.
United Russia: 9,3 % of the votes.
Liberal Democratic Party of Russia: 7,2 % of the votes.

April 4 2024: The Duma votes in favour of Grand Duke Georgiy becoming Tsar of Russia.

April 5 2024: The Federation Council votes in favour of Grand Duke Georgiy becoming Tsar of Russia.

May 2 2024: The Labour Party wins the British general election. Labour campaigned for abolition of tuition fees, increased social spending, abolition of the House of Lords and not rejoining the EU. Rebecca Long-Bailey, the leader of the Labour Party, becomes the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Boris Johnson, the Conservative outgoing Prime Minister, leaves politics after losing the election. Boris Johnson is remembered as a hero, because he delivered Brexit and stroke a Canada-style free trade deal with the EU.

Conservatives: 214 seats
Liberal Democrats: 26 seats
Scottish National Party: 16 seats

Democratic Unionist Party: 7 seats
Sinn Fein: 7 seats

May 7 2024: Grand Duke Georgiy accedes to the Russian throne after taking the Oath of Accession in the presence of a joint meeting of the Duma and the Federation Council.
