To get back to some overtly monarchist discussion, as you are all no doubt aware, Prince Harry and his wife have decided to leave Britain:

To be honest, I have no idea what to make of any of this. I can't separate the women's magazine/tabloid sensationalism from the reality.

Long live Ed Davis, viceroy of East and West Gibraltar!

How about this thread isn't derailed by silliness. It isn't about your ideas about commonwealth monarchs, and definitely isn't about Kurdistan.

Making Prince Harry King of Canada makes sense, if he moves to Canada. I haven't mentioned Kurdistan in this thread.

Oh good, more nonsense.

They have literally just said they don’t want to be senior Royals. Why would then becoming King and Queen of Canada, dethroning his grandmother, and a future Crown of his father and brother in the process and therefore causing years of media hype (that they want to avoid); make any sense at all?

Is anyone not clear as to why this forum seems to be fizzling?

Haven't you learned by now? Whatever azadi wants to inflict on the world is what must be done. No matter that the people don't want it, the monarchs don't want it, and it would be against the laws of the land, and require removing power from a current monarch. Azadi wants it, therefore it should be so, because he just knows better than you.

To be fair, I don't think Azadi is the reason the forum is quiet. For a start, it doesn't actually seem that quiet. It's as busy as I have known it. And I'm someone who thinks he could do with reigning in some of what he brings up.

Truly?  The topic of Harry & Meghan is totally lighting up on the other royalty forums I visit. And no hyper-active “johnny one-notes” discouraging reasoned contributions.

Yes, I have never seen it more busy. It may have been a decade or so. You will have to ask those who were here. This tends to be a traditionally minded forum. I think it has more to do with a distaste to discuss such topics. Note that the other big British royal story of 2019, which is even more distasteful, has not even been mentioned.

Whose contribution is so perfect he can sit in judgment on other posters?

I don't support deposing Queen Elizabeth as Queen of Canada, but I support Prince Harry succeeding Queen Elizabeth as King of Canada.

Hey, Harry's not that bad, and nor is Meghan, though I am disappointed by their recent action. I anyway don't at all agree with Azadi's proposal, though it has been widely mooted that the Duke might become Governor-General of Canada, which I think has merit. According to polls Canadians do too. On the crisis generally, while I think the Sussexes have acted unwisely and even irresponsibly I do have every sympathy for the Duchess and her husband over the unrelenting media campaign against her, much of it seemingly fuelled by covert racism and misogyny. But let's see what comes of today's Sandringham summit.
