Pope Francis presided over a special ceremony in the Apostolic Palace in honor of the anniversary of the ordination of his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI.  Pope Benedict gave a rather ringing endorsement of his predecessor, and has reportedly rebuked those who deny the validity of his resignation and the legitimacy of his successor.

"Pope Benedict gave a rather ringing endorsement of his predecessor'. I assume you mean 'successor', LOL! Whilst I have no doubts about the validity of Benedict's resignation and the legitimacy of Francis, I am amused by the irony of Francis honouring Benedict, even as he works overtime to destroy all the good Benedict did, and to destroy the Church. As a Catholic, my only comfort is the knowledge that no matter how hard Francis tries, he cannot complete what he has set out to do.

LOL...indeed.  The perils of typing and not proof reading... although I'm sure Pope Benedict has very nice things to say about John Paul II as well.
