Doesn't seem to have been, since the EU removed it from its Brussels HQ after complaints from Lithuania where displaying the Hammer and Sickle is illegal. The EU claims it had nothing to do with the poster, but Lithuania seems to have evidence that it was the winner of a poster contest that was funded, in part, by the EU.

Considering that this poster added the communist hammer and sickle alongside the symbols of several of the world's most prominent religions, I wonder just how bad the non-winning posters were. Or perhaps the judges of this competition were idiots? What kind of fool does it take to consider communism a religion?

Firstly, countries like Poland and Lithuania have broken the PC taboo by denouncing Communism and Nazism equally, which most Western countries are loathe to do.

Secondly, the poster is revolting because it typifies the ideology that the EU encourages either openly or covertly- call it Cultural Marxism, internationalism, secular humanism, etc. This is the real danger, not any non-Christian religion. It is precisely why the EU must be opposed.

Thirdly, no society can exist without some kind of religion. Communist regimes sought to destroy traditional religion to replace it with its own creed. Look at China and North Korea to see that process. And even in today's modern liberal societies, the PC shibboleths have become a kind of religion of their own.

Very true. I once possessed a pin of the 'Baby Lenin' purchased on Red Square by a friend visiting the Soviet Union. Between deifying his infancy and preserving his body in a shrine, I think it's obvious that the Soviets were trying to build a cultus around him
