A new wave of protests is occurring in Iran, because the Iranian regime has raised the price of fuel. The price of fuel has been raised, because the US sanctions against Iran has damaged the Iranian economy.

I hope the new protests in Iran will lead to the overthrow of the Iranian regime, but I'm opposed to a US invasion of Iran. USA invading other countries in order to change their political systems is wrong. The Iraq War was justified, because Saddam committed genocide against the Kurds, and the US invasion of Afghanistan was justified, because the Taliban sheltered Osama bin Laden, but the US invasion of Libya was unacceptable and the US intervention in Syria is even more unacceptable, because USA has supported PYD, the Syrian branch of PKK.
I support Donald Trump's sanctions against Iran, because they may lead to the overthrow of the Iranian regime. The Iranian regime has been forced to raise the fuel price, because the US sanctions against Iran has damaged the Iranian economy.
In addition, USA may try to prevent the restoration of the Iranian monarchy after a US invasion of Iran, like USA did in Afghanistan. I actually expect the Iranian monarchy to be restored, if the Iranian regime is overthrown by the Iranian people, because Reza Pahlavi is the only Iranian opposition leader, who can unite the Iranian opposition.

Reza Pahlavi has made a statement on the protests: https://en.radiofarda.com/a/iran-s-exiled-prince-calls-for-overthrow-of-regime-amid-protests/30275155.html
Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, claims, that the Pahlavis and the MEK (Mojahedin-e Khalq, an Islamic Marxist terrorist group, which supported Saddam during his war on Iran), are instigating the protests:

Mike Pompeo, the US Secretary of State, supports the protests. I hope USA will refrain from intervening in this movement. This movement belongs to the Iranian people, not to USA. The Iranian people must decide the future of Iran without US interference.

There is no coming back from this for the regime. Iranians have made it clear, and those responsible for 40 years of regime crimes will face justice.

I hope you're right, but the Iranian regime is sadly very resilient. It has managed to put down the recent protests with brute force.
