The Natural Law is a reflection of the Divine Law.The Divine Right of Monarchs is the same as the Natural Right of Monarchs.God is the Author of both the Natural Law and the Divine Law.God is the Supreme Ruler of All.The "Pantocrator" the "All-Ruler" "All-Ruling".The earthly Ruler,King or whatever you call him Tsar,Ceasar,Kaiser,Emperor,Shah,Prince,Grand Duke and so on reflects the Supreme Ruler God who has absolute and Universal Power over All.So all the Monarchs in their Domains,Dominions must reflect the Supreme Ruler God and must have Absolute and ordinary unhindered power to rule.It goes without saying that since God is Good the Monarchs on Earth must be good also or they do not reflect God the Absolute Supreme Ruler who is Infinite Goodness and then become Tyrants and no more represent God in Heaven and you can overthrow them and some else should take his place.P.S. These are some of my thoughts about Monarchy. You can express your own thoughts also but please be respectful of others ideas and do not attack them or misunderstand them or think because they disagree with you they are not your friends or they do not respect you...Great and Good Rulers were for me before Christ were Cyrus the Great,Alexander the Great,King Solomon and King David, after Christ Agustus Ceasar,Constantine the Great,Theodosius the Great,Charlemagne,or "Charles the Great",Otto the Great,King St.Louis of France,Isabella the Catholic,Emperor Maximilian I,King St.Edward the Conffessor,King Richard I the Lion-heart,King St.Olaf in Scandinavia,St.Vladimir Prince of Kiev,Ivan the III of Russia who proclaimed himself successor to the fallen Emperor of Byzantium Constantine Paleologus also a great and Good Christian Emperor, before them also King St.Stephen of Hungary,St.Wensenslaus of Bohemia later Kasimierz or Casimir the III the Great of Poland,Cathrine the Great in Russia,Peter the Great,Alexander the I of Russia, also Tsar Nicolas I,Alexander II the Liberator,Alexander III the Peace Maker,Nicolas the II the St.Christian Martyr the last Great and Good Absolute Monarch Autocrat of Russia,Joseph II Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary and lastly Blessed Karl the I last Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary.

The are not the same (reflections aren't the original in either case), your saying they are does not make it so.

OK............

Some of the reflections are very badly distorted though, don't you agree?  I mean that no man is the 'express image of God' save our Lord Jesus, and some bare so little resemblance to the original that were it not for the inspired text one might think them no better than animals.

I'd being willing to grant them Divine Right, if they were the express image of God - but as Christ is not presently ruling in a fleshly body here on Earth, no monarch is worthy of that authority.

God rules without consent, and unhindered by are understanding of what is good,  Divine Right Kings claim the same privilege, no checks on authority allowed...

That is not 'divine right'.  That is perhaps 'absolutism' but it is not Divine Right.  We can't overthrow God, nor according to the theory of divine right, is rebellion against the king ever morally correct.

I don't attack people, (well not for the most part), but ideas are fair targets.

We agree on some of the Kings  chosen to be among the 'greats'.
I didn't see HM Charles I, King and Martyr nor HIH Basil II, as I would have hoped.

Remember that when Christ was born,Augustus was already a old man
I could like to add that Charles I,King and Martyr was the greatest king of England and Scotland before the union of Great Britain, and that HIH Basil II Bulgaraktonos was one of the greatest Byzantine Basileus(Emperors),followed by the likes of Heraclius and Manuel Konmenos

I think you meant 'Anthony van Dyck'. Still a dirty name either way.

I forgot about it Baron. But really "Defender of the Faith"what does it mean?It had meaning before but not now.You know the Queen and Prince Charles and generally all Royals in Britain and Europe stand and defend the rights of all Faiths.Did you watch the last Chtistmas message of the Queen? It shows her visiting the Shieks Temple covered wearing a headkerchief and Prince Philip also. And Prince Charles visiting a Moslem School. It is the Queenship of the Queen that unites the Countries that she is Head and as Head of the Commonwealth now.

Defender of the Faith does not require one to be rude to law abiding subjects, no matter their faith (or lack thereof).

It is part of Her Majesty's Style, and a simple request that you remember it doesn't merit you assertion that it has no value.  If it truly had no value, would there have been the debate (apparently settled by the Archbishop) about changing it on the accession of the Prince of Wales?
