The "Official" Vacation Home is treated as if an Embassy of Vatican City (technically it isn't part of Italy).

Baron, the Patriarchs of Antioch and Alexandria have primacy that traditionally went beyond the borders of their modern day nations. If that answers your question.

Not exactly, Perhaps one of the primates of a Muslim held land would be in the condition I'm talking about - he isn't resident in Italy though he is its primate....

Well the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch resides in Damascus and has jurisdiction over Antiochene Orthodox in the USA(diaspora), Turkey, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Alexandria has theoretical jurisdiction over all Africa. The Coptic Orthodox Patriarch has jurisdiction over the "Orthodox Church of England", the Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch has jurisdiction over Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanaon, USA (diaspora) and Turkey. Its hard to use Eastern Catholic Patriarchs for this example since we follow a modified ecclesialogy.

Yes, I thought perhaps that in the 'over-run' lands conditions like what one sees in Italy would prevail. Thanks for confirming it. The Patriarch of Antioch living is Syria is the closest match! Thanks again!

Time to change my avatar again. This time, my new avatar is a photograph of the Emperor of Ethiopia's pew at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa.

My avatar is the Severan Tondo, an imperial portrait from between about 193 and 211 containing Roman Emperor Septimius Severus, his wife Empress Julia Domna, and his children Geta and Caracalla.

Not necessarily the best lot, if you don't mind me saying. Geta's face has been blotted out through the vindictiveness of Caracalla.

Only known Roman Imperial Family portrait. Not much choice.

My avatar is from a Japanese cartoon film called "The Cat Returns." A rather short and fun film. http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/241/b/d/the_baron_by_purpleglovez-d2fg10a.jpg

Emperor Ublaz, from one of Brian Jacques' books I read as a kid. Yeah he was a bad guy (and an insane non-hereditary tyrant who seized power and proclaimed himself a "monarch") but never mind that, he still looks pretty bad@$$.

I read them as an adult after my youngest brought 'Redwall' home from the school library. I loved them all. When Jacques came to a nearby town I drove my four youngest and myself over to meet him and get his autograph. I was sorry to see that he passed away last month.

Ah, I never saw him face-to-face, though some of the videos on you-tube show him to be a rather amusing chap. In any case, his books are interesting in that they do not play as heroes politically correct democracies (Salamandastron is an absolute monarchy, Redwall is a sort of weird pseudo-monastic monarchy etc).
