The truth is that Libya's problems aren't unsolvable. When Gaddafi seized power in 1969, he established a regime that became a scourge for the West by supporting radical anti-Western terrorist movements, including the IRA. This made him a darling for the West's radicals and miscreants.

Restoring the monarchy in Libya is not just a desirable option, it's a necessity. It should have been done to symbolise the desire to turn back the clock before tyranny and terror took over the Arab and Islamic world.

I wish they'd stop "calling for a restoration" and instead just restore the monarchy!  This has gone on far too long. [mad]

It wouldn't surprise me however if Libya isn't headed towards partition.  If so Cyrenaica might well restore the Senussi dynasty, but who knows what will end up happening in Tripolitania and the other areas that are currently held by Al Qaeda and ISIS affiliates.

Libya is hardly unique in that regard, mind you [frown]
