His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej left the hospital where he has been staying for the past two years to attend the funeral of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana Rajasuda Sirisobhabannavadi.  The late Princess was the only child of the late King Vajiravudh and was the present king's cousin.  Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and other members of the Royal family were also in attendance.  The Princess died in July 2011 but in accordance with Thai tradition, has lain in state in the throne hall of the Grand Palace since then and is only now being buried.

Amazing pictures of the elaborate state funeral given for the only child of King Vajiravudh, and cousin to his Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.  Princess Bejaratana was given a truly royal sendoff.
