I have come to this forum on a whim because I very much would like to reach out to other Monarchists and like minded individuals to discuss topics of interest. Very rarily do I get to speak to people of like mind so this forum seems like a God send. I am currently seeking membership in the IML and have been a Monarchist for as long as I have been political. I believe the horrors of democratic/republican system of governance can be seen in Nazi Germany as it is democracy taken to it's logical conclusion. By way of trade, I am a door-to-door salesman. I have numerous hobbies, in particular history, chess, my pets and so on. I very much look forward to my time here and may perhaps one day call it my e-home.

Hello everyone. My name is Isaac. I am 25 years old, and currently live in Southern Indiana. I am hoping to become Roman Catholic as soon as I can, but transportation issues and weak/aching hamstrings(when walking) have thus far kept me from it. Last time I tried walking to my local parish, there was a bad storm and all that, 'twas a few weeks before the big one in Henryville.

In any case, as the screen name suggests, I am a interested in the old House of Luxembourg, and the French cadet branch Luxembourg-Ligny. I also take great interest in chivalric orders, like the Order of the Dragon, and French, German, Bohemian, and for some reason, Danish nobility.

I have read this forum many times(as I recall, mainly a couple of threads on the French succession LOL); but that didn't scare me enough, so I finally decided that it is time to make an account.  I had a bit a trouble resending the confirmation e-mail a week or so ago, but tried it tonight and I'm in! I apologize if I seemed a bit long winded(keyboarded?)

...Now, where are those refreshments?

Cordially, Isaac

Oh, and I was born in Kentucky, and I am a University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Thanks for your post. I'd like to know more about the old House of Luxemburg myself, and I'm sure that
any information you'd like to post here would be welcome and appreciated.

Hi all.

First of all I want to apologise for my poor english :\
Next I want to apologise you for being liberal in not only economic way of that ideology. Something like XXI century version of John Stuart Mill, in my own version. I am here because I am interested in history of monarchy and what is stranger I just like monarchies as some idea of organisation of state and in some cases and socio-geo-etno-political situations I think that they are better than republics. I just can't explain it clearly because of lack of language skills. I found that while researching some data about monarchism in Poland from foreign point of view (please don't blame me that I'm Polish, I am not going to talk about 1683 or something like blah blah Poland strong). And also I am looking for nice discussion and gaining some knowledge.

Some Salutations from beneath the Southern Cross to you all. I have long been convinced that monarchy is 'the now' and 'the right way to go' for any society. I have lurked for a while and had an epiphany of sorts on Good Friday informing me to stop and start tying my colours to the mast as it were. I hope that I can find a conducive environment here.
