Inspired by the British Ensigns of the past but with more room for distinct national symbols. Each is in its national colours.

I want Canada to keep its current flag. I want Australia to keep its current flag. New Zealand ought to replace its current flag with the United Tribes Flag, because the United Tribes flag was the first flag of New Zealand.

The United Tribes flag:

If the Aussies want to remove the Union Jack from the flag of Australia, I propose this flag becoming the new flag of Australia:

You’ve got Buckley’s chance of the Australian Flag being changed in any of our lifetimes.

If there was a change some stars on a blue background certainly wouldn’t be chosen. I’d suggest that (much like most of the Kiwi choices in their failed flag-change referendum) they would be a completely new design.

I’m also not sure that the Federation star is as much of a national symbol as the maple leaf or silver fern.

I don't want the Australian flag to be changed. I'm not opposed to the Union Jack being part of the Australian flag, because of the historical ties between Australia and Great Britain. The Australian flag, which I posted, is my preferred alternative to the current flag of Australia.
I want the Southern Cross to remain part of the flag of Australia, because Australia means Southern Land in Latin. The Southern Cross is a symbol of the Southern Hemisphere. The Southern Cross is a neutral symbol, which unites White Australians and Aboriginals.

Neither do I and that’s why I’m not proposing an alternative version.

The southern cross no more unites white and Aboriginal Australians than any other component part of the Flag.

I don't want to erase the historical ties between Australia and Great Britain, but many Australians sadly disagree with me. That's why I'm proposing an alternative version of the flag of Australia, which doesn't symbolize republicanism, unlike the Eureka Flag. My proposed alternative version of the flag of Australia was once proposed by Ausflag.

Thankfully they’re in the minority and that won’t change anytime soon.

Ausflag has proposed many horrible designs. Doesn’t make them any more legitimate than any other “alternative”.
