The great mistake of the Spaniards in Mexico was in my point of view not letting the "Criollos" (Pure Spanish descendants born in New Spain who started the independece) have the top possitions in anything and lets not talk about the mestizos or ingenous descendants. And also H.M. Fernando VII did not to accept the throne of Mexico offered by Gen. Agustin de Iturbide who then became the H.M. Agustin I of Mexico.

Fernando VII was exiled from Spain by Jose Bonaparte and the Spanish colonies were loyal to H.M. Fernando VII but ...... well he didn't accepted that the colonies were auto determing their future while he wasn't there (Spain was doing the same by the Cortes de Cadiz). Also a lot of miscomunication and Peninsular pride between the spanish colonies and the Metropoli was part of the mix.

It is hard and painful for me to remeber this as I see Mexico full of corruption and all the problems you all know. It is time for Mexicans to open their eyes and take this country to the glory of the III Mexican Empire.

If The "Peninsulares" have put Criollos and Mestizos on important Government affairs,it could have been averted much much easier

I know the following comment will be very polemic.

If the H.I.M. returns to the throne of Mexico. American monarchists support the idea of returning the lands that are part of the Empire (and yourselves be part of this Empire) or would you prefer to be part of your republic.

I feel like making noise today. LOL

Greetings and don't think with a narrow vision of the illegal immigrants the  and all the stereotypes.

What lands do you think are part of the 'Empire'?

Tha lands of the Mexican Empire of course.

The territorial area of the Mexican Empire of 1821 was about 5,000,000 square kilometers, including everything from the Oregon/California Border at 42nd latitude N, to the boundary with Panama (at that time, part of Colombia). Most of the countries of Central America were part of Mexico - they became a separate republic after the empire collapsed.

It's not my thinking what makes them part of the Empire. They are part of the Mexican Empire. Such as Uruguay is part of the Brazilian Empire.

Viva el emperador!!!!!

As a Mexican Monarchist I would say that we do not have claims over Florida. But tell me what you think. Maybe the East Florida will like to be in an Empire again don't you think?

The Empire is in the past tense.

The Map section starts from after the collopase of the Empire, so I still don't know what areas you're claiming for the 'Empire'.

My 'Direct Interest' is in lands East of the Mississippi.

You'd have to come and take it.

It reverted to Great Britain with the abdication of their Most Catholic Majesties.

If Her Majesty doesn't want it back we might arrange 'free passage' through West Florida if you'll come and get it before the French do.

It would be a worthy addition.  Miami is already 'capital of Latin America'.

Unfurtunatelly my mind tells me that I should speak in past tense but my heart makes me feel in present and future tense. I would like your dream and your ideals come true soon. My prayers are for all of us proud monarchists and the future of our Empires and Kindoms.

Step by step we have to work together. With greatness and not return to the pirates age (and whos stronger and whos the pirate). That will only end in giving more strenght to the republics and corruption that comes with it.

I think we can work details and differences and not fall in the errors of the past.

What do you think?

Greetings.

I think I could work with a 'restorationist' government of East Florida.  I'd naturally prefer a British East Florida, but looking at the demographics, a Spanish East Florida may be more reasonable.....

I'd be willing to 'link in' your web site if it advocated the peaceful restoration/establishment of a  monarchist government in East Florida and respected the territorial claims of the Dominion of British West Florida.

(They would be the only government respecting those claims I'm afraid. )

Doesn't the fact that the First Mexican Empire was born of revolution, and the Second Mexican Empire a creation on Napoleon III subtract a bit from its legitimacy?
