Ignoring my good friend Mars Sarcasm and Ponocrates well intentioned question.

In answer to your question Marine, yeah, a 'revolution' of sorts is near, but I fear its closer to a self destruction or a civil war then a revolution in the US. After which I sincerely doubt it will ever be the 'United States' ever again. But I do believe the majority of states will survive the calamity.

And yes my belief in this has alot to do with Mars perennial discussions with me over this and many other subjects. America is like Rome in many ways and all empires, in whatever form, fall, with the possible exception of Japan, American occupation aside that place will probably never fall.

Nope, Ponocrates, I don't think he is. He is clearly a member of the British Royal Air Force, probably a labor party member, and is almost certainly an anti-war protester!

Most likely of French descent.

*Sarcasm, off*

That joke aside, I am glad people still have interest in American Monarchism, especially someone in my favorite branch of service, but I am not exactly proud of this thread and make a specific apology to Baron...

Am I the only one who thinks the revolution is near?

Oh no, or lord no, you are not the only one.

First Off, I'm not a Marine... yet. I'm a USMC Poolie (Think apprentice). I go to Parris on June the 21st.

Second, I actually have a small group of friends, all of whom are joining the military, who are like minded. We believe that the US is going to tear itself apart in the next 5-15 years, and someone will have to rebuild after that fact. We have decided that a constitutional monarchy based after a combination of the current US system, the French Ancien Regime, and Imperial Rome is best choice.

Hopefully this reassures you that not all American teens are brainwashed.

I am both American, and a teen. I too, intend to serve, preferably as a United States Marine.

But forgetting about that, tell me more in-depth on what exactly it is you see for America, I am very interested?

A system of constitutional Monarchy whereby the government is divided into three branches. The Monarchy itself, the People, and the Nobility. Each has a series of checks and balances over each other and their powers are strictly enumerated (No more of this "the constitution implies" bullshit. If it ain't on paper, you can't do it.)

The country would be divided into two main sectors, each with four subsectors, each with the various states, to the counties ad nauseum. Eac would be a little miniature version of the national government (including individual charter-constitutions)

The military would also be divided, with the officers coming primarily from the nobility and the enlisted men from the populares. One branch, the Marine Corps, would be absolutely loyal to the monarchy.

It gets more complicated than that, so if you want to know more, ask specific questions.
