lol. No worries! Being a Jacobite, I deal with "flak" all the time. But I stand by my beliefs. However, I will not enter a debate with anyone in this thread. This thread is purely for fun. If anyone wishes to discuss or debate any Jacobite issues, I would be more than happy to in another thread.

Flak?

More like 'strafing run'.

What kind of person would think such a thing proper?

Perhaps if the traitorous Scots sever their relationship to the Crown, it would be acceptable to speak of finding another monarch to oversee their sorry excuse for a country, but as long as the Crown in Right remains, to speak of any other isn't monarchism, it is advocation of treason.

In what kind of world would one claims to be a monarchist install a man who does not wish to be king, nor to disturb his cousin on her throne in place of a reigning Queen who has devoted the whole of her life to the role left to her?

Baron; I assume your option would be the British West Florida?

I would wish to see Britain as a Libertarian society.

Actually I'd have all North America from the Atlantic to the Mississippi, and the pacific Northwest under the British Crown.

I'd like to see all of the Realms utilizing the Trimcameral system (circa 1553-1603).

Interesting. But is it rightfully 'answerable' to the British Crown in a historical sense? The whole of North America I mean.

To the Mississippi, I feel reasonably comfortable asserting, beyond that, i think it would be much tougher to dispute a Spanish claim, absenting the expansionism of the rebels.

The Scottish throne is already occupied quite satisfactorily and as Jovan has pointed out elsewhere, this is not up for debate.

If we're going to fantasize about a "monarchist world map," let's talk about those countries that do not presently have monarchs.

This is not exactly a "map," but here's a chart showing who today's sovereigns would be if monarchies were restored worldwide to my satisfaction:

Great list Royalcello.  Minor correction though.  The monarch of Ethiopia would be Zere Yacob II (you omited II).

And the last time I checked, Mr Gibson was an American citizen, born in Peekskill NY. Hardly a good choice for Australia even if Her Majesty weren't already Queen thereof.

Sorry, I guess I was prepared to let most of Spanish-speaking Latin America remain republican (Mexico excepted) when I made that list, since those countries have never had their own monarchies since becoming independent.  If they were to become monarchies, however, I would favor a Commonwealth-Realms-style arrangement with the King of Spain as head of state of all of them, represented by Governors-General, in which case the list of reigning monarchs would not be any longer.

You have to admit that even a fraction of the restorations envisioned on my list would be a huge triumph for monarchism...we're really not in a position to demand the whole world at once, are we?
