Happy B'day....

(The old folks would drop the 'young' in front of 'man' at this age back home...)

An odd coincidence inddeed, for our moderator's birthday to be on Bastille Day.

By the way, who was the father of the Irish High King Eochu Feidlech? I apologize, but I can't find the geneological chaallegne thread where Theodore asked Peter some questions?

Eochu Feidlech's father was called Find. I can't remember where that thread was either, though I certainly remember the thread itself, which I greatly enjoyed. I'm pretty sure we never got onto mythical High Kings of Ireland on it, though...

Very many happy returns to royalcello, have a terrific day.

And who was Finn's father? The Wikipedia link to Finn only takes me to a disambiguation page.

Not Finn, that was a clan name. Find, who was the son of Findloch. Not that any of these people probably ever actually existed.

Thanks guys!

As for historical anniversaries, personally I prefer to think of July 14 as the beginning of the Oxford Movement in 1833.  It is also, of course, the 31st birthday of HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.
