Lots of pictures of Prince Harry getting into the, um, spirit of things in Belize. The shirt looks very informal, but is local festive garb and was a gift to the Prince, so it was natural for him to wear it. His behaviour looks very informal too, but that's Harry and the locals don't appear to mind, in fact they seem charmed. The occasion was to name a street for his grandmother as a commemoration of the Jubilee.

I think people in exotic countries like Belize, Bahamas and Jamaica are generally less 'formal' than people in Europe. Prince Harry with 'his own brand of enthusiasm and energy' was an excellent choice for a visit to this region.

Video from the Telegraph.  I think it is clear that those of us who care about the survival of the monarchy in the Commonwealth Realms should be grateful to Prince Harry.

Her Majesty Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh presided at a service in honor of the Order of the British Empire at St. Paul's Cathedral in London.  The Queen and the Duke appeared in the full regalia of the order at the service which was conducted by the Bishop of London and attended by over 2000 members of the Order on the eve of the start of Her Majesty's Jubilee tour of the UK.  See link for article and some amazing photographs.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has addressed a joint session of Parliament in Westminster Hall to mark her Diamond Jubilee.  The Archbishop of Canterbury and past Prime Ministers also attended the event.  The Queen rededicated herself to her service, and paid tribute to the support of her family, particularly to the Duke of Edinburgh.  She also unveiled a new stained glass window in the ancient hall to mark her jubilee.

Her Majesty won't be using the Gold State Coach for the procession this Jubilee, but instead the 1902 state landau. The reason given is "for practical reasons, it is not feasible". What this 'practical reason' is, I could not guess. Perhaps Her Majesty is conscious of appearing extravagant in these economic times. A shame, but it will be nice to have an open carriage.

The Gold State Coach is wonderful to look at, but it's not very easy to see the occupants.  It is very important to the monarchy that the monarch be seen after all.  I think it's a good choice of carriage.

Perhaps you're right; speaking from personal experience, in 2002 it was difficult to see HM inside the Gold State Coach, despite having a good spot on the Mall (by the statue of her father George VI).

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as part of her Jubilee honours has awarded H.R.H. the Duchess of Cornwall the Highest rank in the Royal Victorian Order to mark the 7th anniversary of the marriage of the Duchess to the Prince of Wales.  Camilla now enjoys the rank of Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

A smaller contingent of Royals will take part in the carriage procession to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  This time around, only 5 senior royals, the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales with the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will ride carriages in the procession from Westminster Hall to Buckingham Palace following a banquet for 700.  At the Golden Jubilee, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York, the Earl of Wessex, their current spouses and children took part in the procession.
