Some of the veterans of the forum may remember Soulblighter, BlayneII, or The_Harlequin_King (aka the Modern Medievalist). I saw them yesterday at The_Harlequin_King's wedding in San Antonio, at which I had the privilege to sing the complete Missa Pange Lingua by Josquin des Prez (c. 1450-1521) in the context of the Solemn High Traditional Latin Nuptial Mass at Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church. The wedding was a magnificent and unique experience.

Here I am at the reception with Soulblighter and BlayneII:

and with the bride and groom (in traditional Indonesian costume; James's mother is Indonesian):

Finally, here are the groom and bride again with their regally named daughter Katherine Victoria and their splendidly decorated wedding cake:

Many, many congratulations to The_Harlequin_King!! (If Soulblighter and Blayne are reading, I want to say hello.) And I love, love, LOVE that cake representing the old, real France.

And those marvelous traditional Indonesian costumes...and a beautiful daughter!

Beautiful Gloria. Don't hear that in many Catholic churches these days, sadly.

And here is the recessional, with my friend Beau Baldwin (who incidentally is also a monarchist, though he hasn't joined this forum) playing Acclamations carolingiennes by Jean Langlais (1907-1991) on the organ:

Monarchist dinner at a French restaurant in New York City Monday night. Virtually all of Christendom was represented: Bob (Roman Catholic), me (Anglican), Nick (Eastern Orthodox), Solomon (Oriental Orthodox), and Aaron (Roman Catholic). A good time was had by all.

A wonderful pan-monarchist ecumenical conference over delicious food. This followed evensong at the beautiful Church of St. Mary the Virgin.

Truly wonderful indeed.

If you don't mind me asking, what restaurant did this happen to be? And were the waiters aware of what you guys were up to? (Maybe there were closet French royalists among them.)

AugieDoggie, the restaurant is called Un Deux Trois (located appropriately at 123 West 44th Street).  The waiters however were clearly not French but an assorted variety of Americans who didn't strike me as particularly royalist (you never know though...).  I wore a tie with purple fleur-de-lis on it and my Lion of Judah cufflinks, Nick wore the lapel button of an Imperial Russian Order that he is entitled to wear, and Theo had on his wonderful monarchist polo shirt with the British Imperial State Crown proudly displayed over his heart, yet sadly none of the waiters gave any indication that they knew what these glaringly royalist symbols meant.
