I thought perhaps that it would be a wonderful idea to have here a photo album of the members who post here on our lovely forum! I'll start us off:

In my defence, it's an old pic, from Christmas '05. I have new, much cooler glasses!

Having posted that picture yesterday, I've naturally been thinking about my dear and much-missed friend who was in it, and who died last year, in fact within days of the picture. You wouldn't think it to look at him, but he was a fervent monarchist, and a great admirer of the Queen. He was in a room with her once, this came about because he gave a very good tip to Lord Porchester, the Queen's racing manager, and as a result was admitted with a friend to the Royal Enclosure at Ascot. They were given strict instructions not to speak to the Queen under any circumstances, and if she for some reason spoke to them to address her only as Ma'am. My friend knew this wasn't quite right, but expected Lord Porchester didn't want to overburden their brains.

She didn't speak to them, anyway, but my friend enjoyed the experience. Horseracing was his great love and total obsession. I on the other hand think that if there is any less interesting subject under the sun I don't wish to encounter it. This didn't stop my friend holding forth at length and often. I knew he couldn't help himself so just zoned out, keeping a fragment of attention to tell when the monologue had ended. He on the other hand never minded me droning on about matters royal, and even stumped me with a quiz question once, which was to name the five longest-reigning monarchs over England. I named four easily, but was in doubt on the fifth. Eventually he told me, Elizabeth II. Of course, one thinks in terms of history for these questions, not now.

Sorry for the size issue. That is the most recent (good) picture of me, but even that is almost a year old! The next closest one isnt bad but its hard to really see me. My camera had broken so : (

This is still what I look like for the most part, though now my hair is longer (a bit too long actually, need a hair cut : P )

One of the few photos of me I have on this pc. It is a few months old and taken by my sister. As one might be able to tell, I have had a glass or five of wine.

Three monarchists (BlayneII, Soulblighter, Archbishop10K, from left to right) out on the town as lords from three different eras!
