Seven years ago today, while a first-year graduate student at The Juilliard School in New York City, I created the website that would eventually become RoyaltyMonarchy.com and the parent of this forum.   At that time, Jean was still Grand Duke of Luxembourg (his abdication would be the first major story on my News page), Birendra was still the revered King of Nepal, Rainier III was still Prince of Monaco, a healthy and vibrant Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother had recently celebrated her 100th birthday, Bill Clinton was president, and the World Trade Center still towered above southern Manhattan...a long time in Internet history...

Thank you all for making my internet royalism a much more interactive experience!

Thank you for providing a place to 'hang out' among those that share at least a certain degree of interests in restoration of the Monarchy.  (If not here, then elsewhere).

Congratulations!!! Royalcello;and happy 7 year Anniversary! You have come a long way! How did you get this bright idea to start a Royaltymonarchy Forum? And to combine Royalty with Monarchy this is the brightest idea of all.I was very impressed with your Site when  first you told me about it and you invited me to join.I was very impressed with your articles about Monarchy.Plus you are a Classical Musician! I agree 100% with your ideals of Church Liturgical Music also. And I was impressed with your age also. You were a young adult when you started it all and still you are in your prime!I do not think that there is any Monarchy Forum in the World that has such a young man as its Moderator.Even if there is one or someone that started at the same age I do not think that he or she can be compared to the wide range of your Forum that offers so many variety of Topics to discuss and present  own's own opinions and ideas and points of view.Euge! Well done! and for many year to come! Always your admirer and supporter Cornelius of Greece and Canada!

We recently passed the 9th anniversary of this website without any celebration or reflection! So we should do that now. Been a long time, hasn't it? This website was only about 5 1/2 years old when I stumbled onto it in the spring of 2006. Now it's over 9 years old! I even remember when the forum was first set up in may 2006. Now it's going on 3 1/2 years! Yeah, it's been a long time.

Belated congratulations, ten years is a long time for a specialist site to flourish, and many thanks for providing it for us all.

Yes, thanks!
It amazes me how many people have come, and stayed!
And how different those of us who have 'stuck around' are.

Monarchy does indeed unite a rather strange set...
Thanks!

Indeed, and for a site like this to thrive for a decade is quite an accomplishment. Congrats!

The birthday of this forum is also the anniversary of several significant royal events.

On this day in:

1227- Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II was excommunicated by Pope Gregory IX for not participating in the crusades.

1240- Birth of Margaret of England, Queen Consort of Alexander III of Scotland

1328- Birth of Joan of Kent "The Fair Maid of Kent", granddaughter of Edward I of England, and wife of Edward "The Black Prince", and thus Duchess of Aquitaine and the first English Princess of Wales.

1560- Death of King Gustav I of Sweden

1833- Death of King Ferdinand VII of Spain
