The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz contains an entry for one "Bhumibol Adulyadej," detailing his accomplishments as a trumpeter.  Only the last sentence mentions that he is "also the King of Thailand."

Royalcello,

Thanks for the backup. I had read of HM's musical accomplishments years ago, but I could remember no details.

Another Stuart name in the current royal family.  We already have Charles and Anne, now we have a James.

We failed to mark the 90th birthday last month of Princess Alicia of Parma, whom I have mentioned in a number of asides due to her fascinating heritage. Her family are evidently well aware of it, as it is expanded upon in this link.
