The Romanian monarchist organisation National Alliance for Restoration of the Monarchy (ANRM) is holding a march in April to call for restoration of the Romanian monarchy: There have been previous marches, like one in November 2013:

Very Well ! Romania is now the first country in the way to Restore the Monarchy. We hope in a fast happy end of this battle ! Also Serbia is on the same way, but perhaps the times are longer. And maybe the same it can be in Albania.I am now informing you that the number of monarchists is now increasing also in Greece and in Egypt . I invite you to see the following Groups on Facebook : RESTORE THE GREEK MONARCHY and THE EGYPTIAN KINGDOM (His Majesty Fouad the Second Present King of Egypt). You will see very interesting improving of the idea. It is necessary to remember that in these countries there have been 50 and more years of propaganda that has destroyed the image of the Kings and of the Monarchy ! Best regards.

As part-Romanian I welcome this and hope they do succeed, very much. With Albania and Serbia I'd welcome this even more so. Especially the former, to finally rehabilitate the house of King Zog as an actual dynasty. These other groups though, there are problems, in the case of Greece it's anti monarchic sentiment implanted by the clans in Power not shaken that much even by the spectacular level of crap they got the country into, and in Egypt it's the fact that any kind of stable regime there that isn't a military-supported nepotistic dictatorship is hard to bring about, especially seeing the army's intent to not cease being in power any time soon. But still, hope for the best !

Dear Elisabelo II, jest for the reason that political clan having the power now have got Greece in a very deep level, now we can see that the monarchist movements are growing up. The same in Egypt. But we must hope in a changing of opinion in all European minds !

Surely few deposed monarchs are more deserving of restoration than His Majesty King Michael I; after all, he did lead a coup to overthrow the pro-Nazi dictator Ion Antonescu and was blackmailed into abdicating by the communists after doing so by threatening to kill off over a thousand innocent students. Some gratitude. My thoughts will be with the Romanian monarchist demonstrators and I wish I could support the cause in person. After all, the restoration of one monarchy strengthens the position of all, including that of my own homeland. Long live the King!

I read some comments on an article about King Constantine coming to live in Athens again and, well, it didn't seem like it, but I hope I'm wrong.

Yes, my Dear, you hope to be wrong ! I think we all hope that not you, but the negative comments of the media are wrong ! I don't know in other countries, but in Italy all the media, both of right side and left side, are united in writing that Monarchy is a ridiculous thing of the past and are always trying to destroy the images of the Kings and of the Monarchies. In Greece, like in Egypt, the image of the Kingdom's age and of the Kings has been destroyed in the last 50 years by propaganda of republican power. This is the reason of difficulties for the monarchist groups. But, besides it, the number of monarchists is growing up ! We must only hope ! Best regards. Gianni

That is excellent news... might well be THE sign for monarchist revival in Romania. I've lived there for a brief time and I truly believe that the country needs a unified leader that can bring some self-respect back to them. King Michael is just the man for the job.

So should we call ourselves the Marchists (pun intended) or the Aprilists?
