Crown Prince Alexander II is another one worth emulating. Having orphans to the palace and whatnot. He wants the job, and I think he is waiting for an opportunity to pounce.

This forum is about the imperial house of Ethiopia not the royal houses of Russia or Serbia.  Remember we are talking about and African monarchy so I am asking you do not post anything in this forum about European monarchies.

I was using a valid comparison for a possibility for an Ethiopian candidate to follow, nothing more.

Prince Alexander has put himself in a position to take the reigns and I think a member of the House of Solomon should do the same.

Crown Prince Alexander Karadjordjevic is an outstanding example of how a royal heir should carry out his role as a monarch in waiting.  The significant differnece between the Serbian Crown Prince and the Ethiopian one, is that the Serbian government is extremely freindly towards Prince Alexander, having returned his palace to him, and inlcuding him in official events etc.  The Ethiopian Imperial family have been excluded from all official events, have been ignored by the government for the most part.  While those members who have married into the Imperial family, such as Empress Medferiashwork, the Duchess of Harrar and Princess Mahitsente have had single residential properties returned to them which were in their own names before the nationalizations (thus not the homes that were there residences before the revolution).  These were mostly secondary houses that were built as investment properties by the princesses and were rented out.  Princes and Princesses by birth have been refused any restitution of their properties.

The Imperial family are very active in cultural and charitable pursuits but do not get the type of publicity in the west that people such as Crown Prince Alexander do.  However they are not sitting back and doing nothing either.

I agree. So how will we get Mengesha Seyoum on the throne? That is what is on my mind. He is the most rightful heir as the grandson of Yohannes IV's official heir whom Yohannes named as he lay dying from muslim bullets with which he was wounded upon the battlefield. I am ashamed that my great-great-grandfather Minilik II did not honor the wishes of Yohannes IV. Before I leard of it, I was a strong supporter of the lineage of Lij Eyasu, but I have since learned how Minilik II was as much a usurper as Haile Selassie. Also, I recognize the fact that Stefanos Seyoum, the heir of Mengeha Seyoum, is descended from haile Selassie, so if we did as I wish, an heir of Selassie could still end up on the throne because Ras Mengesha Seyoum is an old man and Stefanos could soon succeed him as Ras. Both of them are more demoncratically involved than i care for, but I will support them over even my relatives the descendants of Eyasu, because Ras Megesha was robbed of his birthright by all teh ras combined who chose Minilik II instead of obeying Yohannes. It seems that the Princes of the Provinces feel they do not have to obey the commands issued by a dead Emperor in Abyssinia (I refuse to call it Ethiopia and I denounce Haile Selassie for having renamed the nation with a Greek a racial slur!).

I pledge with my life that as long as they are loyal to the Word of God, then I am loyal to the rightful heirs of Yohannes, because as a true and loyal Aksumawit, I would love to see NON-TPLF Tigrayawi be in charge again, but as the head prophet of Bete Israel I must and will put God above King and may our Kings be ever so wise too! Ameyn.

PS: Meles wants me dead. God told me in 2001 to not go to Abyssinia until the beginning of 2011-AD, I believe God is going to remove Meles Zenawi from office, perhaps by removing him from this world.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but I'd just like to note that most of us here, including Ethiomonarchist, admire and respect the late Emperor Haile Selassie and certainly do not regard him as a "usurper."  I think monarchists should focus on promoting the idea of monarchy and not get bogged down in disputing widely accepted successions.  While I admit that I do not know as much about the Ethiopian monarchy (I have learned a lot from Ethiomonarchist) as, say, the British monarchy, I am not inclined to have any more sympathy with the view that Haile Selassie was not a legitimate emperor than with the view that Elizabeth II is not a legitimate queen.   It is my impression that the Ethiopian (or Abyssinian) monarchy did not have rigid rules of succession and therefore absolute legitimism does not make a lot of sense.

I'll do you one better... i have hopes for the Aksumite Empire t be restored. And when the Monarchy is restored, under whatever national name, I expect that teh official state religion will be Christian this time and not just Orthodox. Why should the 2nd on the sceene be the exclusive franchise when ALL trinitarian denominations are true Christians, including us masihawi who were the first Christian denomination on the Aksumite Empire, under Empress Kandeke Garsemot VI in 5548-Ametyena Alem (the year 56-AD).

By the wahy, wendem meq, in what city do you live? I am near the Fairfax Area of Los Angeles. The weather here is exactly like Tigray, but 6 months skewed. The rainy season at one is the summer of the other and then the reverse again 6 months later. I think that is why they put the Consulate General's office here many years ago.  I wish our airline stopped here also.

Another thing on my wish list is the hope that Eritrea will reassimilate without force if we get a good king, such as I think Mengesha Seyoum could be. Am I hoping for too much?

I say he was a userper because he assended to the throne as a benefit of Assassination and that was the plan of Abune Matewos (Pope Matthew) who we believe directed that the assassins be hired to kill Minilik II who we now have toxicological evidence that he was poisoned with Arsenic and also Zewditu who the toxicological tests show was poisned with an overdose of insulin (as was always suspected).

Tests were done on the bone marrow and hair of both of the deceased in 2001. This was don after Abyssinia buried the body of Haile Selassie having recovered his remains from a pit under the royal latrene where his body had been hidden after Mingistu haile maryam strangled Selassie (then age 83) as he lay asleep in his bed, because tho Selassie was ill, he would not die fast enough to please Mingistu. I am embarrased to say that Mingistu is also related to Minilik II and this also to me. But I totally disown him and I am calling for him to be captured, tried and executed as an assassin and as a traitor deserves.

Nevertheless, according to crwn law, if you unlawfully ascend to the thrown via assassination, then you are not legitimately seated.

Gentlemen, this is part of the reason why God invented prayer. To ask Him for a miracle.

He still holds out His hand to Abyssinia. He has not forgotten our people. Our people have forgotten God and instead of seeking a true relationship have come to prefer instead a superficial show of religiosity because it is too much like work to study God's Word and see what He Himself says that He really wants from us, because our people have come to care more what they want than what God wants, I am sorry to say, but this is true and part of the reason is that at church, most of them get only vain rituals and traditions they no longer understand, instead of expository Bible teaching. God stopped blessing Abyssinia in general when they failed to care enough to defend the monarchy against the Marxists. They fought to topple the Marxist dictator only after they realized he was a butcher. They went from the frying pan to the fire and now they have gone from the fire to the coals and don't seem to know their dilemma, much less how to rise above it. And they are so used to priests who utter nothing except what is written in the liturgy, that when one comes along who speaks the truth, they are shocked and offended and call him arrogant, hateful and other far worse names. They are not used to hearing a fire and brimstone sermon. But that is exactly what they need every week in every church. to be taught the TRUTH and to be taught how it is applicable and relevant to them personally. That is what they need.

They need to be taught that the God of the Judeo-Christian faith is NOT the false god of islam and that it is a shameful sin how we have allowed muslims to become half of our population! Are we trying to become like Somalia and Sudan? Because that IS the path we have been on for too many decades now.

You can NOT win this without God on your side and God is NOT on your side when you are disobedient and disrespectful to His Word!

That is what demoncracy has done to our people... it has liberalized them, NOT liberated. Liberalized and liberated are NOT the same thing at all. The former is evil, the latter is good.

The Crown Council won't even recognize who is the rightful heir to the throne. They say it is Zera Yaqob, but they are wrong.  Why do they make this error? Because the head of the council, Ermais Selassie, is the brother of Zera Yaqob. There is no impartiality at all. It is a closed narcissistic  circle. Zera Yaqob appoints the council, the council names Zera Yaqob as their choice. Neither cares about who the rightful ruler really is, nor do they care about the people they intend to rule, for if they did they would be so honest as to admit that the last legitimately seated monarch was Yohannes IV! He was still Emperor when he commanded that his son should succeed him and each ras,(the lesser kings who govern each province), turned against him and instead chose my  great great grandfather, Ras Sahle Maryam, King of Shewa to succeed Yohannes and they had no right to disobey the last command of Yohannes like that! According to the "fruit of the poisonous tree" doctrine, therefore all monarchs after Yohannes were all unlawfully and illegitimately seated, regardless how good they may have been. Minilik II was a good king and his Daughter Zewditu was the most holy women I ever heard of outside of the Bible! But they were not the rightful heirs to the throne and neither was Tafari. Might does not make right. Yohannes was a properly seated Emperor of a de jur government and all the governments after him were de facto, not de jur. Yohannes inherited the throne when his predecessor committed suicide after England invaded us and looted our churches and national treasures (which they have yet to return).

And I won't even get into what an offense your chosen user name is to me as I am as anti-federalist and anti-union as you will ever find. That was another sin of Haile Selassie, the OAU! Now called teh African Union. Federalism is the opposite direction from Monarchism. Each sovereign state must surrender their sovereignty to the federation in order to join it! Just look at the USA. Read the last paragraph of their Declaration of Independence in which it said that each state was to be a sovereign nation (that is the meaning of "free and independent states") and then they repealed that clause of their charter when they wrote the Articles of Confederation just 11 years later. They a couple of years after that they rewrote it again and too away more power from the states and called that the US Constitution. Now there is such a thing as a state that is not a sovereign nation. You can thank federalism for inventing such a frankenstein monster as the "non-sovereign state"!

Exuse my passion about this, but the whole idea of pan-africanism is an attempt by socialist atheist liberals to make Africa into a black version of the USSR and I am very offended by the very idea that any country should have to surrender sovereignty to any federal ficticious entity. It is an abomination. This is where we get rampant liberals who think they can do things such as legalizing "homosexual marriage". I will not go into it further here because I am restraining myself very hard on this subject lest I say something very angry.

NO!!!, not a chance, the ruling ERPDF are a bunch of COMMIES. Look at their logo:

That cogwheel, that bent wheat, that yellow star, it all looks pretty Red to me. In case you haven't noticed cummunists and monarchy have never in the history of the world coexisted.

Unless the ERPDF is defeated there WILL NOT, be a restoration of the Empire. And there's not a whole lot Americans can do about it, pray maybe, or give money to the opposition parties for the 2010 campaign (which would be a waste because the election will probably be fixed).

Federal Republic of Ethiopia (Present)

Let me introduce you to some of my own political graphics skills...

I made this graphic the first of January 2007 because of how Meles had 200 people shot for protesting the crooked 2005 election. Just one reason I have incurred his hatred. Notice that the star pentegram shown is the version used by Anton LeVey on the cover of his evil book "The Satanic Bible" which is why I never display a pentegram (the hollow outline of a 5-ponted star) I feel so strong about that that when I made a parody of the American flag and the California flag I use only six-pointed stars, (which is actually no less official, by law).

(For some reason the graphic won't display here so I am replacing the image link with a url link to see it).
