The visit of the King of Saudi Arabia to Moscow is a sign of a thaw between the world's two largest oil producers, and possibly the Saudi's acknowledgment that Russia is a major player in the Middle East now, and that they have given up on getting rid of Bashar al Assad.  It also appears that the Saudis have entered into agreement to buy some Russian weaponry.  The Kingdom always purchased it's military hardware in the West previously.
