Hello I live in Hereford in England, which is near Wales. I take a special interest in the British monarchy as I have lived here all my life and my mother is British. I am also interested in the Iranian monarchy as my father was a Persian Jew and was one of the shah's doctors.

Welcome, maymose, you are our 298th member!

Explanation for everybody on the above statement:

Yes, I know 345 people are signed up to this forum. However, 46 of them haven't even posted once. Thus, there are only 299 actual members of this forum, especially when one considers the policy that accounts registered for over a year without posting will be deleted. So, who wil be our 300th member, you ask? Either, a.) the first person to join and post after Finnrau, or b.) Finnrau himself, if somebody who has an account sans posts finally begins posting.

Yes, he is, he made that clear, so he is not really a "new" member.

I still don't see the point of those round number "milestones."   It's pretty arbitrary since someone who has only posted once a long time ago is not that much more "active" than someone who has never posted.

I'm not a new member. Actually I signed up over three years ago, but I have been inactive for quite some time.  I've finished school now (for the second time) and got married. Now that my life is a little bit slower now, I hope to be active once again on this forum.  Hello to all the older members who may remember me, and welcome to all the newer members!
